Museo Reina Sofia - This museum is Spain's official, National museum of art from the 20th century. There are impressive collections of Picasso and Salvador Dali. Don't miss Picasso's 'Guernica', the most famous piece in the collection. A short walk from Atocha stat
Puerta Del Sol - Puerta del Sol is the heart of Madrid. Not just as a cultural centre but this stunning Plaza is also a major transport intersection with many metro lines crossiing it's station, "Sol".

Retiro Park - This majestic park serves as a the lung of Madrid covering a huge portion of the city centre and is alive with Madrileños boating around and strolling through the many diverse styles of gardening and landscaping providing much needed shade.
Puerta de Alcalá - This giant "Gate of Alcalá" was inaugurated in 1778 after Carlos VII decided to inject some significance into the humble Medieval walls surrounding Madrid at the time. Francesco Sabatini was commissioned and the result was this stunning arch.
Calle Alcalá - This is Madrid's longest and oldest street, stretching 10km all the way from Puerta del Sol towards Alcalá de Henares (hence its name). It passes through Puerta de Alcalá, Salamanca, Retiro Park and the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas.
